Staff

Section 10(3) of the Nurses and Midwives Act 1991 states "The Board cannot employ any staff" but provides for staff to be employed in the Government Service to enable the Board to exercise its functions.

Chapter 1A and Schedule 1 of the Public Sector Employment and Management Act 2002 establish the Health Professionals Registration Boards Division of the Government Service under the direction of the Director-General of the Department of Health.
