Names Removed from a Register or the Roll

Section 69A of the Nurses and Midwives Act 1991 requires that the Board is to make publicly available the name of each person who is subject to an order of the Nurses and Midwives Tribunal or the Supreme Court that the person's name be removed from a Register or the Roll.

The following list complies with the legislation, however persons referring to this list are advised that it does not include:

those nurses or midwives who have had their name removed from the Registers or Roll prior to 1992 when the Nurses and Midwives Tribunal was established

those nurses or midwives who have had their name removed by a Nursing and Midwifery Regulatory authority in another Australian State or Territory, or New Zealand; and whose names were removed in New South Wales under the provisions of the Mutual Recognition Act 1992 (Commonwealth)(s.33) or the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Act 1997 (Commonwealth)(s.32)

those nurses and midwives who have had their name removed from the Registers or Roll for reasons of mental incapacity as provided by s.34 of the Nurses and Midwives Act 1991.
